If you ever wonder what happens to all those items confiscated at airport security checkpoints, the answer is, they end up on eBay.

Knives, scissors, furry handcuffs, a sausage grinder, even an electric palm tree are all for sale on the Internet auction site. The items have all been "voluntarily surrendered" at checkpoints in airports throughout the Northeast.

The Pennsylvania Department of General Services has raised more than $300,000 since it began selling the surplus in June, 2004.

Most of the items are Swiss army knives and scissors, but there's also a "hunting kit" with knives, ropes and flashlights, as well as a a four-foot-long machete.
