Old Harbour residents were concerned about a man entering and leaving a neighborhood residence on a regular basis, believing that he might be an intruder. Authorities were called to the scene, not by concerned neighbors but by the man-of-the-house, who failed to convince the crowd that the man entering and leaving his residence was no intruder.

The so-called intruder had in fact been commissioned by the man to "service" his wife because he was no longer able to.

According to the Jamaican Star, one of the Old Harbour Police Station officers said, "After we went to the dwelling, we saw the husband who had called us and the wife and another man in his early thirties. It was pointed out to us that the husband had enlisted the services of the younger male for this wife, as he is unable to deliver."

Old Harbour residents voiced their concerns over the "marital service" arrangement, but law officials advised them that this was not a legal issue but a contract between consenting adults.
