A new kind of bathroom paper has been showing up in Japan. Envelopes containing 10,000 yen , about $82, are being found in municipal toilets across Japan.

Japanese media have estimated that more than $16, 400 has been found in men's rooms in city halls in at least 15 prefectures in recent weeks.

Included along with the 10,000 yen are notes reading: "Please make use of this money for your self-enrichment," and "One per person," according to the Associated Press.

Officials do not know who the mysterious benefactor is or why he is leaving the money. Some envelopes have been turned in to the police who are holding them in case someone does come forward.
