The Japanese Prime Minister was caught wheeling himself to his office, prompting Environment Minister Yuriko Koike to burst into giggles.
He was seen rolling into the lobby on a Segway electric scooter by startled reporters, reports Reuters
President Bush gave him the Segway as a surprise gift during their meeting in Kyoto last month.
This is the first time Koizumi has been seen riding the vehicle in public.
"It's quite easy," Koizumi said to reporters.
