A woman was arrested after police found her hiding in a man's closet. She'd been living there for a year. Police searched the home of the 57-year-old resident after he saw movement in his home on the security cameras he installed when he noticed food had been missing from his refrigerator.

A small robot has scaled a 1,739-foot-high cliff of the Grand Canyon in a demonstration of the power of the world's longest-lasting battery. Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. 's 6. 69-inch Evolta, which bears the same name as the Panasonic brand AA alkaline battery it used, climbed the cliff on Saturday in six hours and 46 minutes. The robot, which is made of plastic and carbon, used its hands and legs to pull itself up a rope.

Small Lizard Leaves South Florida Homes Without Electricity

Godzilla, the overgrown Japanese lizard, wreaked a lot of havoc in those 1950s sci-fi movies. But even he couldn't match the destructive capability of a much smaller cousin in this southern Florida coastal community. Some 20,000 homes lost power midday Thursday when an iguana shorted out high-voltage equipment operated by Florida Power and Light. Electricity was out for about half an hour. The iguana will be out for a much longer time.
