On a hot summer the ice cream vendor is the modern Pied Piper of Hamelin and various states are not about to let sex offenders use the trade as their way to lure children. Several states are now working on bans against allowing sex offenders. The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors in California, as one example, is planning to draft an ordinance that would prohibit convicted sex predators from driving ice cream trucks after one was found last summer in Perris.

A bride-to-be will tie her knot wearing a gown made by a couturier using toilet paper. The soon-to-be bride Jennifer Cannon and her future husband Doy Nichols of Lexington, Ky. plan to get hitched in a public restroom Wednesday. She will be wearing a one of a kind gown made from glue, tape and Charmin Ultra Strong and Ultra Soft toilet paper.

A middle school coach was arrested and charged for leading a group of players into manipulating Christmas displays to depict images of a pornographic nature. John Hayes, 46, while driving around in his pickup truck with middle school varsity football team at the back, allegedly placed a homeowner's reindeer displays in sexual positions. The group also destroyed several Christmas decorations they came across.

Couples were less likely to be likeable when the woman was more verbally assertive, and silence could well be a golden rule for her, according to a study at the Green Mountain College. "In couples in which the woman is more verbally assertive, and the man more submissive, the relationship tends to suffer," said Dr. Jennifer Sellers, assistant professor of psychology at the college.

A female security guard found herself in the emergency room of the hospital she was guarding, this time as a patient, after she was punched in the face by a woman in Pasay City, south of the capital Manila on Saturday. Fortunately, for the guard, her alert colleagues immediately collared her attacker and 22-year-old Cheryl Languing was turned over to the police who filed appropriate charges against the suspect.
