he world's longest-running trivia game show, Jeopardy, had its first ever three-way tie on Friday after being on the air in various formats since 1964.

A tie-breaker for the Friday game will air on Monday-the first time the famous trivia game show has ever had such an outcome in the more than two decades since Canadian-born Alex Trebek has been the host.

On Friday's historic show, which was actually taped back in December, the three contestants-Jamey Kirby of Gainesville, Fla., Anders Martinson of Union City, Calif., and Scott Weiss of Walkersville, Md.-all finished the game with $16,000 after correctly answering a final Jeopardy question in the category "Women of the 1930s." All three contestants gave the correct answer of Bonnie Parker, partner of the famous Depression-era criminal Clyde Barrow.

The odds of such a three-way tie happening is one in 25 million, according to mathematicians contracted by producers of the show.

Friday's unexpected ending prompted long-time Jeopardy host Alex Trebek to say, "We've had a lot of crazy things happen on 'Jeopardy!' but in 23 years (as host) I've never seen anything like this before."
