Robert and Rosemarie Chooljian said they were shocked Thursday morning when they found that the baby Jesus in the nativity scene on their front lawn had been taken and replaced with a Budweiser Select beer can. Bob Chooljian, 72, said he built the nativity scene with his children more than 30 years ago and it has been displayed on their front lawn every year since.

Saying that Coca-Cola created the present-day Santa Claus for its advertisements, anti-Santa campaigners in Austria and Germany are fighting the commercialization of Christmas by asking vendors to ban him from their markets. The campaigners were able to persuade a market is in front of the Vienna city hall - the biggest Christmas market in the country - to ban Santa's image. Now the only Santa to be seen is the one in the middle of occasional "Ban Santa" stickers.

The Marine Reserves Toys for Tots program rejected 4,000 talking Jesus dolls donated by Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co. one2believe division. The company said it was disappointed and surprised by the program's decision. Bill Grein, vice president of Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, said they could not accept the donation based on the fact that the toys are distributed at random.

The Church of England is reportedly upset over a collection of this year's Christmas stamps which it says has no Christian message and failed "to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas. " A report by the Daily Mirror newspaper said one of the stamps has Santa looking like he has stopped for a toilet break. The collection, which will be on sale starting Tuesday, shows Santa sitting on top of a chimney.

Last week's freak snowstorm in western New York knocked down several trees and stranded thousands in dark. But Georgianna Verrastro believes that her home was spared by the storm because a higher power was watching over her family that day. As proof she mentioned what happened to a statue of Jesus near her home.
