A 76-year-old woman accused of producing and selling heroin from her home has been arrested. Esther Gomez had allegedly been selling black-tar heroin out of her home for years. On Thursday, Gomez was arrested after authorities received information that led to a search warrant. She was charged with possession with intent to deliver and released on a $20,000 bond.

Russian police are looking for two mystics who persuaded a student at Moscow's elite State Institute for International Affairs to part with more than $160,000 in exchange for lifting a curse, RIA news agency reported Sunday. "Two unknown women, on the pretext of lifting a curse, stole $150,000 and some jewelry by means of deception. The total amount stolen is estimated at 4. 48 million roubles ($161,800)," the agency quoted a police source as saying.

John Suhrhoff found a Louis Vuitton bag on a Sausalito park bench, but what he found inside was more of a shocker: a 12-carat diamond ring, pearl and emerald jewelry, a Cartier watch and about $500 in cash. In total, the contents were worth $1 million. Suhrhoff decided to take the bag to the police Monday afternoon. The bag is now on its way back to the hands of a Toronto family, who visited northern California for a wedding.
