According to divorce papers, Nick Lachey is seeking spousal support from his former "Newlywed" wife Jessica Simpson, and he wants his jewelry back. Lachey, reportedly also asked for "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects," and part of Simpson's earnings from after the date of separation and other assets.

A fake soothsayer charged a woman $6,000 for an unnecessary exorcism. Police in the central town of Northeim say, according to Reuters, that the 44-year-old was told she was possessed by a young woman who read her palm at a Christmas market.

People expect thieves to look for keys things when they are on a stealing spree: cars, money, jewelry, priceless antiques and art. But light poles? Officials in Baltimore say that is exactly what a ring of thieves has been doing all around the city; stealing 30-foot light poles. Police say the thieves, sometimes posing as utility workers, place orange, construction-style cones around the area to avoid looking suspicious.

A retired Elvis Presley impersonator helped police catch a man suspected of stealing more than $300 000-worth of memorabilia from the Elvis-a-Rama museum in Las Vegas. Duke Adams, a 62-year-old "older-era Elvis", says he was approached while in line at a pharmacy by a man offering to sell him items once owned by the "King", including jewelry, clothing and the Presley's revolver.

Celebrity housekeeper Lucyna Turyk-Wawrynowicz, who earlier this summer was indicted after swiping thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and goods from her employers, most notably Robert De Niro's wife, has now been charged again for stealing the identity of a 13-year-old girl. Handcuffed and crying, Turyk-Wawrynowicz was led out of court after Justice Brenda Soloff told her she could post the $50,000 bail as cash or bond. Her next court date was set for Oct. 11.
