A jilted bride in Portland, Dorset, England has decided to push through with her wedding reception and used her pet dot to replace her wandering groom. Instead of wallowing in self-pity after being dumped by her groom two weeks before her wedding, Emma Knight, 41, decided she wants to party and have a good time.
According to The Sun newspaper, Knight dressed her faithful dog Dennis as the bridegroom after her fiancee, Paul Fox, 37 broke off their engagement.
Dennis was treated to a piece of the four-tier wedding cake and Knight wore the $3,000 wedding dress she bought for the occasion and partied until morning with her 100 guests.
Knight did not stop there, the next day, she invited her best pal to take on a pre-booked honeymoon to St. Malo, France.
Reports said Knight is now selling some of the items bought for the wedding to let her recover the $6,000 she invested for the event.
She told The Sun, "It's the best we could make of a bad situation. We had a great time."
