In late May, Jason Martin stumbled across a misplaced cell phone at the back of the restaurant he worked at. Upon scanning the phone book, he was surprised to see a list of names including, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, George Clooney, Harrison Ford, and Bill Gates.

Martin was a bus boy at Brisa Atlantica, a Cuban jazz club/restaurant in Delray Beach. That night, singer Jimmy Buffett had visited the restaurant and lost his cell phone on the way out of the restaurant's back door.

A police report states that Martin and a friend were smoking pot one night while marveling at the high-profile, celebrity studded directory. Martin kept the phone for one week and refused to return it, despite having been offered a $200 reward; he told friends he was going to sell the phone's sim card to The National Enquirer.

Martin wasn't so defiant when Secret Service showed at his apartment demanding the phone, after suspected crank calls were made from that number to former President Bill Clinton; Martin denied personally making the calls and speculates some guests who had slept over his house may have been responsible.

Martin told police he had spoke with Buffett's wife, Jane, who was upset he had failed to turn in the phone. The 22-year-old handed the phone over to police and was fired from the restaurant. The boy claimed he had received a call earlier in the week from AT&T security warning him they would track the phone down using GPS technology.
