Cop's Wife Prepares Meatballs With Secret Ingredient: Marijuana

A police detective with 22 years of service says his wife dished him up a hardy plate of meatballs spiked with marijuana hoping to push him into early retirement. The detective had recently been assigned to a Joint Terrorism Task Force but was suspended after testing positive for drugs. Apparently, the wife believed the spiked meatballs, and early retirement, could save her husband from harm. A judge responsible for hearing the case believed the detective's story, recommending this week that he be reinstated to duty.

The U. S. Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) says they have identified a serviceman who was listed as missing in action (MIA) from the Korean War. Pfc. Francis Crater Jr. , U. S. Army's 32nd Infantry Regiment, of Barberton, Ohio will be returned to his family and buried with full military honors, October 21 in Akron, Ohio.

The U. S. Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) has identified the remains of a U. S. serviceman, who has been missing in action (MIA) since the Vietnam War. Lt. Cmdr. James E. Plowman, U. S. Navy, of Pebble Beach, California was returned to his family for burial with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington D. C.

The U. S. Department of Defense says it has identified an airman who has been missing in action (MIA) since the Vietnam War. Air Force Maj. Burke H. Morgan, U. S. Air Force, of Manitou Springs, Colo. , was buried Sept. 7 beside his wife, Mary, at the U. S. Air Force Academy, as part of his U. S. Air Force Academy graduating class' 45th reunion.

The Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) has identified a U. S. Marine, missing in action since World War II. Sgt. John H. Branic, U. S. Marine Corps, of Madera, Pa. will be returned to his family for burial with full military honors. According to the Pentagon, he will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday.
