Twenty Four-year old Steven Cranley is not allowed to have a girlfriend for the next three years. A judge decided to set the prohibition after Cranley pleaded guilty to several charges after attacking his former girlfriend.

After a break up Cranley punched and kicked his girlfriend and prohibited her from calling authorities. When police finally arrived he stabbed himself.

According to the Canadian Press, he has been diagnosed with dependent personality disorder and doctors say he has difficulty dealing with rejection. This put him at a high risk to re-offend.

As part of the ban, Cranley will have to seek counseling.
