Iowa University has installed special software in its laundries that lets students communicate with washers and dryers. The software, called LaundryView is an Internet-based system that sends e-mail alerts to students for the availability and current status of washers and dryers. According to the University officials, the system will help save the time of students who visit laundry to find the washers and dryers already booked. Moreover, it will be an alarm for those who forget to remove their clothes once they have loaded the machines.

Jaguar's chief designer Ian Callum has revealed that British actress Kate Winslet's body is the inspiration of Jaguar's new sports car, XK. Winslet told talk host show Jay Leno that he had "Decided that I, for whatever reason, was his ideal woman. So I guess he was inspired by the shape of my body, which is kind of flattering. "

A British high street store has ordered 100,000 souvenirs to mark a royal engagement. The merchandise company is preparing to mark the engagement of Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton, in case they decide to wed sometime soon. Executives at the supermarket chain Woolworths are so convinced the young couple - who have been dating for three years - will soon announce their engagement that they are producing 20 commemorative products including mugs, spoons, car flags, computer mouse pads and even a mobile phone. A Will and Kate pick 'n' mix selection of sweets is also in the pipeline.

London traders are taking their clothes off to raise money for charity. The KatCanDo charity is making a calendar that will feature 12 nude people with strategically placed objects covering their embarrassing bits.
