Bono, Melinda and Bill Gates Hailed as Time Magazine's Persons of the Year

Time Magazine has named its Persons of the Year and the three people on this year's cover are honored for being good Samaritans. The magazine says the trio is changing the way people feel about charity. Bill Gates, and his wife, Melinda, were named Time magazine's "Persons of the Year" along with Irish rocker Bono for making a difference in different ways. Managing Editor James Kelly said the three had been chosen as the people most effective at finding ways to eradicate such calamities as malaria in Africa, HIV and AIDS and the grinding poverty that kills 8 million people a year. Time also named former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton as "Partners of the Year" for their humanitarian efforts after the Asian tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, and the unlikely friendship that developed from that work.

"Wanted" Fugitive Caught At Doctor's Office

A man is arrested while leaving his chiropractor, after he is profiled on the television program, "America's Most Wanted. " A friend of his doctor tipped the chiropractor off after seeing the "Wanted" episode. Ronald Young was wanted for questioning in connection with a 1996 fatal car bombing in Tucson, Arizona. Police say he is also a con artist who used his charm to befriend women and wealthy clients that he defrauded of money. Young is also wanted for forgery in Colorado.

Gorilla in Zoo, Births First Set of Twins Since 1966

A gorilla at Zoo Atlanta has given birth to twins which marks only the sixth time it's occurred in a North American zoo since 1966. Zoo officials say Kuchi, a 21-year-old female western lowland gorilla, became a proud mother to twins on Monday. The proud Papa is Taz, whose lineage continues with the newest silverback offspring of Zoo Atlanta.

Toronto Man Breaks Couch Potato Record

Suresh Joachim broke the Guinness world record for the longest time spent watching TV, at 69 hours and 48 minutes. Joachim did his TV viewing in the lobby of WABC-TV as part of the "Guinness World Record Breaker Week" on the syndicated "Live With Regis and Kelly. "

80's Pop-Icon to Release Acoustic CD

The woman responsible for setting off major fashion and musical trends in the early and mid-1980s is releasing a new acoustic album entitled, "The Body Acoustic. "The Body Acoustic will be released on Daylight/Epic Records on November 8th. The CD revisits songs like "Time After Time," "True Colors," "She Bop," "Shine," and more giving them a modern day extreme makeover.
