High School Student Brings Gun To School, Accidently Shoots Himself In Leg

Students at a high school in Myrtle Beach franatically started calling their parents after they heard a gunshot in the school. The noise came after a senior student named Damien Singleton shot himself in the leg Thursday during a marine science class. The 18-year-old student was taken to a hospital where doctors operated on his leg but there have been questions over how he got the gun inside the school's classroom.

Man Blames 2-Year-Old Son For Gunshot Wound

A 24-year-old man who walked into Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis with a gunshot wound to his arm claims that his 2-year-old son had allegedly taken the gun from his mother's purse and fired it at him. According to police reports, the kid's mother was also at home along with her 4-year-old son when the accident took place, but they were in the adjacent room. There was no other witness to the shooting.

German Officials Propose Fines For Parents Of Misbehaved Kids

In a bid to curb the ongoing surge of indiscipline in many children, officials in Germany have proposed handing out punishments to the parents when their children break the law. Politicians with Germany's Social Democratic Party say they believe that fines of $67 to $133 should be issued to parents who do not take any effort to prevent their children from missing school or indulging in various crimes.

Man Arrested For Hiding Drugs In 6-Year-Old's Pocket

A man who apparently hid drugs in the pocket of her six-year-old daughter's jacket was arrested Monday after he went to the kid's school to retrieve them. According to authorities, Dennis Riker, 41, might have hidden the drugs in the child's jacket during the weekend, but apparently forgot to remove them. In order to remove the drugs from the jacket, Riker went to her school and tried to intercept her while in the school's bus parking lot. However, a staff member at the school would not let him in because Riker was not the girl's legal guardian.

Man Visits Elementary School Bathroom To Offer Kids Money For Urine

Police have accused a 24-year-old man of going into a boys' bathroom at an elementary school and offering the the students money to urinate in a cup for him. Officers say the school became aware of the incident after one of the students told his mother how he got the $10 bill in his pocket. Police say the man, Jose Berrios, was on parole and was trying to get a urine sample for a drug test he was supposed to take on Tuesday.
