Controversy arose in an Ohio town when a church posted something unusual on their marquee. It read, "I kissed a girl and I liked it, then I went to hell. " It was in reference to a song by Katy Perry that was popular earlier this summer, but many had never heard of the song, so they were understandably confused.

Chinese couple caught on tape engaged in a torrid kiss is suing Shanghai Metro Co. for violation of privacy as their videotaped kissing engagement found its way to popular video-sharing websites such as YouTube. com. The video was shot at the Youyi subway station sometime in September and has received many 'hits' (15,000 in a couple of days) on the Internet, embarrassing the young couple immensely. In fact, the man in the video has resigned from his job after receiving many phone calls and snide remarks from relatives, friends and strangers alike.

His duty was to protect the innocent and serve the law. But this police officer in Manila, Philippines is in hot water for "stealing," at least a kiss from the wife of one of the cop's detainees. Police Officer 2 Luis Gonzales was being accused of Catherine Anne Buco a councilwoman of Barangay (village) 505 in Sampaloc, Manila of stealing a kiss from her when she went to the police station where Gonzales was assigned, to seek the release of her husband who had been arrested for drinking in public.

A Cambodian-born French woman who left a smudge of lip stick on a white canvas painting she is suspected of kissing faces criminal prosecution. The woman, who is herself a painter, stands accused of "damage to a work of art," by kissing it and leaving her lipstick on an otherwise bone white canvas. The painting, valued at $2 million, was on exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Avignon.

The Philadelphia Police Department is firing a 32-year-old officer who has now been proved guilty of ordering two women to put on a "sex show" in a jail cell in September, 2003. Internal Affairs investigators found Norberto Cappas ordered the two women to kiss and touch each other and expose their breasts. The two had been in jail on suspicion of drug possession, but they had no drugs and weren't charged with a crime.
