The Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) has identified eight U. S. servicemen, missing in action (MIA) from the Korean War. The bodies of Master Sgt. Alfred H. Alonzo Sr. ; Sgt. 1st Class Robert C. Bucheit; Sgt. Francis E. Lindsay; Cpl. Joseph Gregori; Cpl. Darrell W. Scarbrough; Cpl. Homer L. Sisk Jr. ; Cpl. Charles E. Sizemore; and Cpl. William E. Wood will be returned to their families for burial with full military honors.

Crowds looked upon richly adorned floats covered with two special flowers named after the impoverished but nuclear equipped nation's last two despots, current eccentric, despot, and man about town, Kim Jong-Il, and the former leader of the rouge nation, Kim's father, Kim Il Sung .

During the 1970s, when South Korea was governed by hardline authoritarian decree, government agents armed with rulers prowled the streets measuring skirt lengths in search of violators of the country's indecency laws. Police could even arrest women for their choice of fashion if it were deemed to risqué. That same indecency law exists today, if only on the books, as police have long surrendered their pursuits of arresting women in miniskirts and daisy-dukes short-shorts. Nevertheless, the South Korean government is in the process of revising the law to match the fashion motifs of the day.

The U. S. Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) says they have identified a serviceman who was listed as missing in action (MIA) from the Korean War. Pfc. Francis Crater Jr. , U. S. Army's 32nd Infantry Regiment, of Barberton, Ohio will be returned to his family and buried with full military honors, October 21 in Akron, Ohio.

It's going to be a white Christmas in Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines, as some businessmen from South Korea who have made the city their second home, have revealed plans of returning the favor by bringing snow during the holiday season. Acting city Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr said some Korean entrepreneurs have pledged to invest in snow-blowing machines that would be deployed atop buildings to produce snowflakes that would fall on downtown Baguio.
