Boston, MASS (AHN)-- Lillian Gertrd Asplund was 5 years old when she was on board the Titanic. She got on the ship with her family from Southhampton, England on their way back to Massachusetts.

On the night the ship sank in 1912, she lost her father and 3 brothers in the Atlantic.

Asplund was the last survivor of the Titanic who remembered its sinking. Ronald E. Johnson, vice president of the Nordgren Memorial Chapel in Worcester, Massachusetts said that she died at her home in Shrewsbury.
