An Illinois woman recently got her high school class ring back after more than two decades. Laura Durham of Belvidere, Ill. , remembers taking off the class ring, and several others, just before she got into a car accident in July 1984. The jewelry was later discovered by Bob Windsor, who worked at the salvage yard in South Beloit, Ill. , where Durham's car was taken after the crash. He added the rings to his coin collection, intending to find the owner someday.

Hooters' latest fundraiser is drawing criticism from some Los Angeles city officials. According to reports, on July 13, the restaurant will host a bikini contest to raise money for the spay and neuter programs over at Los Angeles Animal Services.

The family of a 22-year-old woman who was in a car accident sat by her bedside for weeks before they realized the woman in the bed was not actually their daughter - it was another young blonde-haired woman who had been involved in the same accident. Their own daughter, Laura VanRyn, had died in the accident and was already buried, reports the AP.

In an attempt to better understand what their dogs barking is all about, several dog owners have been given lessons in order to learn how to translate their pets' woofs from their bow wows. A British vet and dog behaviorist is training pet owners to give them expert advice in order to cut down on the number of complaints received by local authorities by noisy dogs.

A woman who was kidnapped on Mother's Day weekend in 1976 when she was 21 months old has just reunited with the mother she thought had passed away long ago. The mother of the woman, Laura Gooder, had never given up searching for her child, who was kidnapped by her ex-husband and her child's father, Eric Douglas Nielson.
