An usual Mother's Day surprise for a Michigan mother. A woman, who authorities say was kidnapped 30 years ago from Michigan as a child by her father, has been found living in Arizona. That's the word from her mother and investigators. On Mother's Day weekend in 1976, Laura Gooder's estranged husband Eric Douglas Nielsen picked up 21-month-old Genevieve Rachel Nielsen at her Oakland County home for an overnight visit. They never returned. This Mother's Day weekend, a police officer arrived at Gooder's current home in Frederic, Michigan with news that her daughter had been found. She apparently was raised under another name and told her mother was dead. Oakland County Detective Sergeant Dave Wurtz headed the case since 1990.
