A lesbian couple will make gay history by becoming the first legal Indian same-sex marriage accepted by the Coquille Tribe. The soon-to-be wed couple, Kitzen Doyle and Jeni Branting, had been in a committed lesbian relationship since high school.

About 100 college presidents from universities across the U. S. are asking legislators to lower the legal drinking age to 18 from 21. The officials organized a movement called Amethyst Initiative a year ago to push to amend current drinking age laws, which they said leads to dangerous binge drinking on college grounds.

Franklin County's Common Pleas Court Judge Charles A. Schneider ordered the release of McClendon, 52, of Columbus after new DNA tests showed that semen in the underwear of the then 10-year-old rape victim was not his.

Ottawa Police Lack Software To View Legally Mandated Taxi Videos

Almost all of Ottawa City's 1,100 taxicabs have complied with a law mandating the installation of video cameras in their vehicles. The goal of the requirement is to assist police in criminal investigations of crimes in taxicabs. However, a technical glitch needs to be addressed. The city police do not have the software to allow them to view the videos.
