A local woman attempted to exit a pet store with a boa constrictor hidden inside her pants to avoid paying for the animal. Reports from the staff of the Preuss Animal House said that the woman had most probably grabbed the snake while the employee's back was turned, quickly stuffed it inside her pants and exited the store.

A 21-year old woman has filed a $200,000 law suit against American Airlines for failing to protect her after a male passenger reportedly masturbated beside her on a recent flight. The woman, whose identity was withheld, alleges airline employees did not act appropriately after the man sat next to her and began masturbating during a flight in March 2007.

Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis announced a new system to help keep city police officers in shape and physically fit, saying the old requirements are not working. Weis, who said the current cash-incentive system is not working, announced a new plan which would focus on more "holistic" or "integral" approach to physical fitness, including healthier eating habits and sustainable workout programs.

Local newspaper Etemad reported that a woman named Hengameh claimed her mahr, or dowry after being married for ten years to her husband Shahin who according to her is so stingy that he cannot even pay for her coffee.
