The Sydney Aquarium is being sued after one of its giant exhibition tanks exploded.
Hazel Swinden, 61, was left in chest-high water and showered with shattered glass and surrounded by sharks after the tank exploded.
She suffered a badly cut ankle from debris and claims to have suffered post-traumatic stress.
According to reports, Swinden was observing reef sharks at the aquarium's exhibit when all of a sudden she was surrounded by the sharks.
A glass tank had shattered, dumping thousands of liters of water on top of her.
BBC News reports Swinden's lawyer has told a Sydney court she was submerged for several seconds and could feel the sharks brushing past her.
Swinden also claims the acute stress resulting from the accident forced her to give up her job as a sales assistant.
The accident occurred several years ago, however it has just reached court. Swinden is seeking unspecified damages.
