One Connecticut lawyer might pay a big price for what he said was a small holiday kiss.

Criminal defense attorney Ralph Crozier, 55, said police told him the judicial marshall he kissed on the cheek did not invite him to kiss her. He has been charged with disorderly conduct.

Video surveillance showed Crozier kissing the female officer Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 22.

Crozier explained that a kiss on the cheek was the way he and his co-workers wished each other Merry Christmas. He said he did not mean to harm or harass anyone.

His bond was set at $10,000.
