A prison guard who was terminated from her job after posing for the men's magazine Playboy was recently reinstated at the Berks County Prison. Twenty-nine year old Heather Hull was terminated from her post as a corrections officer after a co-worker spotted her in the March issue, in the "Employee of the Month" section. In the photo Hull was given a false name, and her hair was dyed black, from blonde.

A training manual issued by Canada's Foreign Affairs Department lists Guantanamo Bay, the U. S. detention camp in Cuba, as a suspected torture and abuse site - alongside Afghanistan, China, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Syria. A Canadian citizen, Omar Khadr, awaits trial in Guantanamo for allegedly killing an American medic in Afghanistan in 2002 and has been in detention for five years since he was 15 years old, CBC News reported.

Boston's faithful are helping fund maintenance costs of 14 closed churches that costs the archdiocese $880,000 in maintenance bill every year. The bill includes heat, insurance and maintenance costs. Five of the 14 churches are occupied by parishioners who did not accept the closure order. Archdiocese chancellor James McDonough said the church wants to sell the closed properties but some are involved in lawsuits and canon law appeals. Others are just empty shells no longer used for Catholic rites.

An 80-year-old Sri Lankan man has been released from prison after spending 50 years on delayed trial, his lawyer said Monday. D. P. James, was arrested in August 1958, who was then 30-year-old, for attacking and wounding his father with a knife.

The brothers who escaped with injuries after being attacked by a tiger at the San Francisco Zoo on Christmas Day will be suing the zoo authorities for a security lapse. The brothers have hired one of the top lawyers of the country to represent them in court. Paul and Kulbir Dhaliwal have appointed Mark Geragos to file a lawsuit on their behalf. Geragos is a celebrated lawyer, having represented high profile clients like Michael Jackson and Winona Ryder.
