A man who lost his leg twice, first when it was amputated, and second when all his possession were auctioned, has formally started his battle of trying to reclaim his parted limb from a man who bought his amputated leg at an auction. His leg was reportedly in his barbecue smoker when it was sold. The Daily Telegraph reported that John Wood's leg, which was amputated after a plane crash in 2004, is now the subject of a tug-of-war between him and Shannon Whisnant, the man who bought the barbecue smoker with the amputated leg.

Dennis Saunders, a convicted peeping tom, is demanding that police return some 500 pornographic movies and 250 magazines his lawyer described as unrelated to the case and is otherwise legal material. In March this year, Saunders, 59, filed suit against the San Rafael Police Department in Marin County Superior Court after they refused to return his massive porn collection. He is not seeking the peeping tom videos he recorded.

A 48-year-old robber, who refused to take $10 bill from his victim because he only wanted $4, was caught Tuesday. Police said that after he took the $4 from his victim, the suspect hurriedly left, only to be captured a few blocks from the place of the incident.

Police in Northern Ireland arrested a man for hurting his girlfriend and torturing her pet snake. Shane Cooke bit his girlfriend Coleen McGleenon 's pet snake in half during a fight and remarked that it "tasted lovely," lawyers testified Friday.

Notorious convicted pedophile Peter Whitmore has reportedly asked to be chemically castrated. According to the Winnipeg Free Press, Whitmore wrote a letter to prison authorities in which he asked for the procedure. Whitmore, 36, entered a guilty plea to charges that he had abducted and sexually assaulted two boys last summer. In that case, Whitmore was arrested after a ten hour standoff with police. He was sentenced on Monday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for seven years, and also has other convictions for sexually abusing other children in Ontario beginning in 1989.
