Police in Northern Ireland arrested a man for hurting his girlfriend and torturing her pet snake. Shane Cooke bit his girlfriend Coleen McGleenon 's pet snake in half during a fight and remarked that it "tasted lovely," lawyers testified Friday.

Every criminal file in the New South Wales Supreme Court is being reviewed after an administrative blunder has resulted in a fresh appeal for murderers. Two of the murderers of Sydney woman, Ms Janine Balding have been granted special leave to take their case to the High Court due to a missing staple from their file. This effectively quashes the pair's unsuccessful appeal in 1992.

A strange "ghostly" image captured by a surveillance camera at the First Judicial District courthouse downtown Santa Fe has left many people dumbstruck and confused over the source of the image. The sheriff's deputies, lawyers, clerks and judges are speculating the image to be that of a ghost while many others are of an opinion that it could be a reflection from a passing car or possibly a piece of fluff from a cottonwood tree.

A member of a lesbian gang, along with her other six lesbian friends shouted, "I'm not a woman," before she attacked a man in New York. The seven lesbians then got together to beat and stabbed him last year in Greenwich Village. On Wednesday, four women were on trial on charges of gang assault and face long prison terms if they are convicted while the three others pleaded guilty and received six-month jail terms.

A man claiming to be the love child of Britain's Princess Margaret will take his claim to London's High Court on Tuesday. Robert Brown - a 52-year-old accountant from Jersey - insists he was born following an affair between the late princess and a man she was once in love with, Group Captain Peter Townsend, making him Queen Elizabeth's illegitimate nephew.
