A nursing home in Ireland found a unique way to keep its elderly patients in a cheery mood -- by providing its own pub. St Mary's Hospital in County Monaghan, near the Irish border with Northern Ireland, believes easy access to a pint may help its patients live longer.

Two investigators are saying they have obtained DNA from a cowboy who claimed to be Billy the Kid. Before his death in the 1930's, John Miller purportedly told friends and a son he was the legendary outlaw. Former Lincoln County Sheriff Tom Sullivan and Captain Mayor Steve Sederwall say they obtained the DNA last May from Miller's remains, which are buried in Prescott, Arizona.

The only man to have been convicted in Britain of Nazi war crimes has died in Norwich prison, according to a BBC report. Anthony Sawoniuk, 84, was serving two life sentences after being found guilty of murdering 18 Jews in the UK's first war crimes trial.
