A woman is arrested Wednesday after attempting to open an airplane door while in mid-air. According to police, the 52-year-old from Dania Beach, Fl. left her seat and tried to open the door as the United Airlines flight was descending into Seattle for landing.

Amid rising summer temperatures, the Beijing city government is encouraging its workers to dress down in efforts to conserve energy. State media reported Friday that government staff has been given the OK to dress casually during internal meetings, so air conditioner usage can be kept to a minimum.
