Bobcats Make Residence In Foreclosed House In California

A family of bobcats has moved into one of the many foreclosed houses in an upscale community in Southern California.

According to the Los Angeles Times, neighbors in the Tuscany Hills community spotted the felines lounging around and on the Spanish-style house and called authorities thinking the cats were mountain lions. When authorities arrived, they found two adult bobcats and three kittens living in the spacious house.

Mountain Lion That Killed Family Dog Is Trapped, Killed

The daring mountain lion that entered an Idledale couple's home and killed their dog early Sunday morning was trapped and killed Tuesday.

Reports say the lion entered the home through French doors that were left open. Two dogs slept in the bedroom with Mack and Jacquie Anderson, and Jackquie awoke upon hearing a scuffling to see a dark shape she knew was an animal that was not her own.

African Game Keeper Eaten By Six Lions

Several fingers and intestines were all that was left of a gamekeeper in South African when he was eaten by six lions.

Authorities said the 49-year-old man was working at the Uitspan game farm in northwest South Africa Tuesday when he entered the cage of the lions to give them water.

Columbia River Sea Lions Not Shot After All

Reports had initially said that six sea lions in the Columbia River had been gunned down. It's now believed, however, that their deaths were not a result of gunshots after all.
