Three robbers who tried to mug a 67-year-old pensioner, got the shock of their lives when they realized, too late, that the man was an ex-Army boxing champ. George Bayliss, from Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk county in England, said he had just withdrawn his pension at the town's post office when the three held him up to demand his cash.

A Florida couple fished for hours but didn't catch anything, except a drowning dog. Motoring their 23-foot fishing boat earlier this month on Florida Bay, Ray Truche Jr. and Lisa Largrassa suddenly felt they had hit something in the water. The couple leaned over the boat to find a fat cairn terrier named Tigger. The 5-year-old Tigger had apparently fallen overboard from Diane and Richard Beckman's boat during their trip from Key Largo to Marathon, The Key West Citizen reported Monday.

A 50-year-old American woman only known as Lisa, has been bitten by a panda cub at a research center in Sichuan province in southwest China. According to Xinhua news agency, the woman's thumb was bitten by a panda cub in the Wolong Giant Panda Protection and Research Center where she works as a volunteer.

An American visitor had a part of her thumb bit off by a panda cub as she was feeding it bamboo at a reserve in southwest China. Identified only as Lisa, 50, she was listed in the Wolong Giant Panda Protection and Research Center as a volunteer.

A study finds that one in five drivers in the United Kingdom admit that they are concentrating less on driving and more on sex. The study revealed that sex is not the only distracting factor for drivers. Roughly 3. 2 million drivers are distracted by thoughts of work, while 2 million are burdened by family issues.
