Could a Floridian accountant be a direct relative of the feared Mongol leader, Genghis Khan?

According to Tom Robinson, the barbarian who swept across Asia is well within his family tree.

Using "bioarchaeology," Robinson tracked his DNA, with the help of a British geneticist, who found he was a direct descendant of Genghis Khan.

Robinson, 48, explains, "My first impression was, 'Oh no, who is it' - imagining it was Adolf Hitler or something like that... So I was actually pleasantly surprised."

Robinson has since learned much about Genghis Khan, saying, "In addition to being a conqueror, he was a great administrator. Their system of governance was fairly sophisticated."

According to local station, WFTV 9, established in 2001 by Oxford University geneticist Bryan Sykes, Oxford Ancestors offers DNA testing to people around the world eager to trace their genetic roots.
