A drunken businessman in London who fell asleep on a railway track was fined 560 pounds ($1102.75) and sentenced to 180 hours of community service on Friday. He reportedly caused a disruption to rail services for about four hours during the peak afternoon rush hour.

According to Network Rail staff, the man Kevin Craswell, who happens to be the company director, passed out on a line near Epsom last March after drinking a large amount of vodka.

Officials tried to wake the man for half an hour but could not succeed in rousing him.

According to Reuters, a police helicopter took video pictures of him using the track as a pillow with a train passing near his head on another line.

Craswell, 48 who hails from Ashtead in Surrey, pleaded guilty last month to "obstructing the railway by neglect."
