A Long Island teenager has reportedly set an example of honesty by returning $24,000 he found in untraceable $100 bills while at his job cleaning a movie theater.
The college going student, Christopher Montgomery, 19, however does not consider it a "big deal" and was actually embarrassed at the attention.
However, 39-year-old businesswoman RoseMarie Limoncelli, to whom the money belongs, was thrilled to receive it back.
According to UPI news, Limoncelli could not make it to the bank before going with her 8-year-old daughter to see "Happy Feet" at a local movie theater. When her daughter Sabrina climbed onto her lap, she made room for her by sliding her purse under her seat.
That is when she thinks the bank pouch must have fallen out in the dark.
Limoncelli made the starling discovery on the way home, stopping for ice cream. She reportedly called the theater and to her relief the money was there as Montgomery had handed the pouch to his manager.
Though Montgomery has refused cash reward, but Limoncelli says she hopes he'll "at least accept a gift certificate to a local consumer electronics store."
