An 18-year-old boy found by his father after being lost in the Amazon rain forest for six weeks died in his father's arms moments later. Jonathan dos Santos Alves went missing after becoming separated from friends. One report said the boys were hunting, another said they were looking for waterfalls while camping on May 11, the last day they saw their friend alive.

A teen was decapitated after jumping two fences to get into a restricted area around a Six-Flags roller coaster on Saturday. According to reports, witnesses could only speculate why the boy went to such lengths to gain access to the area that was clearly marked "off limits. " Some say he was trying to retrieve something he'd lost. Another friend entered the prohibited area but was unharmed. The boys were there with a church group from South Carolina, which included the 17-year-old victim's parents.

A Chinese museum bought a pig for $438 after the animal was discovered in the rubble of a collapsed pig farm a full 36 days after a devastating earthquake struck the region. According to the Shanghai Daily newspaper, a local museum bought the pig and named it Mr. Strongwill. The pig was raised outside the city of Chengdu. He will live out the rest of his days at the Jianchuan Museum.

A Colorado hiker lost in southern Germany's Bavarian Alps for almost three days used her white bra to signal for help and it led rescuers to the ledge where she was stranded. Jessica Bruinsma, 24, was hiking with a friend near the Austrian border on June 16 when she lost her way due to bad weather and fell to a narrow ledge.

An Indonesian writer threw $10,700 in cash from an airplane on Sunday to promote a book he wrote. Tung Desem Waringin was promoting the second business book he has authored by flying four times over a stadium in Serang city and throwing money out into the air.
