Sunken WWII British Battleship Found In Norway

One of the two British warships that went down in the famous Battle of Narvik during World War II was honored by more over 1,000 British, Norwegian and Dutch military officials this weekend. Major General Garry Robison of the Royal Navy reported that ships floated a wreath over the remains of HMS Hunter, the World War II destroyer that went down with 110 men on board in a battle with Nazi forces, during commemorative service held in Norway.

Oregon Mayor Stripped Of Office After Posing In Underwear

An Oregon town mayor has been kicked out from her post after posing on a fire truck in her black bra and underwear. According to city officials, Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist narrowly lost in Monday's recall election, 142-139, in a town with 500 registered voters. The recall is effective Tuesday.

Intoxicated Connecticut Driver Attempts To Drive Car With Only Three Tires

Officials who apprehended a drunk driver after he lost control of his vehicle and slammed it into a stop sign discovered that the driver's car was missing one of its wheels. The driver, 24-year old Jeffrey Ho, was found behind the wheel of his car, after police were notified by a local convenience store of the car leaving their area with one of his car's wheels detached.

Man Lived At London Airport For Three Years

A man discovered to have taken up residence at London's Gatwick Airport for three years was taken in by authorities for disobeying a previous order restricting him from entering the facility. Anthoney Delaney, a former chef who had been unemployed since 2004, had reportedly lived at the airport ever since he lost his job as a Buckinghamshire chef. He then moved to Sussex, but had trouble supporting himself, due to his failure to land a job and acquire a permanent residence.

Maryland Voters Ditch Two Incumbents; First Time Since 1970

Maryland lawmakers Reps. Wayne Gilchrest and Albert Wynn became the first incumbents to lose this primary season when voters elected rivals from within the same party on Tuesday. Rep. Gilchrest lost to Republican Senator Andy Harris in a five-way race in Maryland's 1st Congressional District. Rep. Albert Wynn was beaten by Democrat Donna Edwards in Maryland's 4th Congressional district.
