Man Offers $20,000 Reward For Heirloom Violin

A retired shipping consultant has offered a $20,000 reward for the return of the 17th-century Goffriller violin he left at the train station on January 29. Rob Napier said he didn't realize that he left the prized instrument - an original handiwork of Venetian master Matteo Goffriller dated 1698 - on the train's luggage rack until the train had actually rolled off the station.

Furious Man Arrested For Crashing Into Car Wash

Local authorities arrested a man for intentionally crashing his vehicle into the car wash after becoming dissatisfied with the service. The man, 37-year old Assi Touti, was at the Mr. Hand Car Wash complaining about the unsatisfactory job done on his Chevrolet Silverado truck after he drove it through the car wash.

Indians Blinded In Search Of Sky Image Of Mary

Almost 50 people reportedly lost their sight after staring at the sky in hopes of catching a glimpse of the rumored image of the Virgin Mary. Officials of India's Kottayam district reported a total of 48 individuals experiencing the condition, after medical examinations determined that their retinas were burned from staring at the sun. The cases had reportedly been constantly coming in since Friday last week.

Sunken WWII British Battleship Found In Norway

One of the two British warships that went down in the famous Battle of Narvik during World War II was honored by more over 1,000 British, Norwegian and Dutch military officials this weekend. Major General Garry Robison of the Royal Navy reported that ships floated a wreath over the remains of HMS Hunter, the World War II destroyer that went down with 110 men on board in a battle with Nazi forces, during commemorative service held in Norway.

Oregon Mayor Stripped Of Office After Posing In Underwear

An Oregon town mayor has been kicked out from her post after posing on a fire truck in her black bra and underwear. According to city officials, Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist narrowly lost in Monday's recall election, 142-139, in a town with 500 registered voters. The recall is effective Tuesday.
