Federated Department Stores, the parent company of Macy's announces something new for the 2005 "Macy's Thanksgiving Parade."

Officials say kids of all ages will have a lot to look forward to with six new floats, four giant helium character balloons, and one new novelty balloon set to join the legendary line-up of America's Parade.

The annual parade takes place in New York City on Thursday, November 24th at 9:00 AM down Broadway to Herald Square.

For the 79th annual event, four new character balloons and a specially created work of flying art will take to the sky this Thanksgiving Day.

The new balloons include Nickelodeon's Dora the Explorer, United States Potato Board's Healthy Mr. Potato Head, Disney Channel's Jojo's Circus, and Warner Brothers' Scooby Doo, as well as a new novelty-sized balloon designed by world-renowned artist Tom Otterness. Also included are Macy's Parade Humpty Dumpty and the Holiday Lovin' Oven, which celebrates the joys of holiday baking with the debut of The Pillsbury Doughboy.

Also, a real version of the hit movie "The Polar Express" will be represented with a train that will arrive to coincide with the film's release on DVD.
