A Maine resident who purchased a winning lottery ticket using money from selling drugs to an undercover police officer was arrested by police.
Michael David, 46, had allegedly sold four methadone pills, 10g each, to the undercover cop for $15 each. He then went to a convenience store, and used his earnings to buy several items, including a lottery ticket that turned out to be a $1000 winner.
The North County Gazette reported that David was arrested upon returning his motel room. The winning lottery ticket was confiscated by the police, who labeled it as proceeds from illegal transactions.
David is currently detained in the Hancock County Jail on charges of drug trafficking.
