A Malaysian man will attempt to charm a poisonous snake long enough to plant 50 kisses on it in 10 minutes.

Should Shahimi Abdul Hamid successfully complete the smooches, he will break a world record set by an American man who kissed a venomous snake 30 times, reports the official Bernama

The 33-year-old will attempt the dangerous task on March 11, while being filmed by the TV show "Ripley's Believe It Or Not."

Shahini is asking Malaysians to support him, saying he "wants to prove that Asians can also be champions in taming poisonous snakes," reports The Associated Press.
