A federal judge has sentenced an Omaha man to three to five years in prison after he was caught stealing without his pants and exposing his bottom to a surveillance camera during a theft at Tobacco Hut.

Christopher Willever attempted to rob the store but he was too drunk to realize that his pants have fallen off; exposing his backside to cameras that later fed the surveillance to TV shows across the country.

Douglas County District Judge Thomas Otepka told the Willever, 22, ""You were an ass in every true sense of the word in this crime." Asking for forgiveness, his public defender, Kelly Steenbock said, "He was pretty humiliated and embarrassed. He showed his bottom to whoever turned on the TV."

Steenbock pleaded the judge to let Willever participate in an alcohol treatment program but Otepka declined the plea by saying Willever was an adult.

According to AP reports, the "bare-bottom bandit" is still supported by his mother and does not have a high school diploma. However, Willever is eligible for parole after 18 months; provided he pays $1,100 in restitution to the store.
