A man was removed from a church by police Wednesday after drinking the holy water. According to a church office manager, Stacy Lamar Bradford has a history of trespassing at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Athens, Georgia. On October 15, Bradford was arrested at St. Joe's after assaulting the church pastor, breaking a crucifix on the window of a police cruiser. He was subsequently barred from the premises for five years, but continues to show up roughly every two weeks to quench his thirst for holy water, reserved for baptisms and other sacraments. While the church has called police several times regarding Bradford, they do not want to pursue a warrant for his arrest. |
