The founder of a company specializing in running answer services for doctors is accused of trying to oust the competition by hacking into that firm's computer. Whenever patients tried to reach a physician, they were greeted with a busy signal or erotic moaning.

Gerald Martin, 37, is charged with computer tampering and possessing a forged instrument. If convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison.

District Attorney Jeanine Pirro says a patient in California had to be rushed to the emergency room after he failed to contact his doctor due to the malicious tampering.

She adds Martin hacked into the computer during three days in November, where patients were greeted on the other end with a busy signal or moaning of a sexual nature.
