An Austrian man allegedly killed his in-laws when he set their home on fire with a flame-thrower. He then attempted suicide by stabbing himself in the stomach.
Austrian police told reporters that the 48-year-old man poured gasoline in a room in the 84-year-old couple's home before lighting a propane gas bottle and throwing it into the gasoline. The woman was a diabetic amputee and was burned alive. Her husband managed to escape, but his body was found lying on a bench near the couple's home.
Police told the press they do not know the man's motive for the murders.
The assailant is hospitalized in an induced coma, but reports say he is expected to survive.
