A man wrecks his car after the pet snake he had tied around his neck attacked him.
Witness say Courtland Page Johnson, 30, of East Naples, was driving erratically Tuesday at 9 p.m. when he crashed his PT Cruiser into some barricades. He then got out of his car, wrestled with the snake and drove off.
Authorities eventually caught up with Johnson, who told them he crashed into another car that had suddenly stopped in front of him. After further questioning, he admitted to having panicked when the snake bit him. Although his body was littered with cuts and dried blood, he did not need medical attention.
Johnson was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
