A man who was involved in a car chase from police actually stopped and helped a trooper who was chasing him after the trooper crashed his car.
The Montana State Highway Patrol officer crashed his patrol car while trying to stop the man. He was nearing the end of his shift when the man passed him going the opposite direction on Interstate 15 at more than 95 miles per hour.
Refusing to pull over for the trooper, the man and the officer got into a chase that reached speeds of more than 120 miles per hour. One of the rear tires on his patrol car blew out, and he went through a barbed wire fence.
The man the trooper was trying to catch did a U-turn and came back to make sure the trooper was OK and he was. The man said he was unaware that the trooper had been trying to pull him over and that he was late for an appointment and that's why he was speeding.
