David Woods, 30, drove his Oldsmobile on three tires and a rim to the local auto parts store albeit not making it very far before he was caught by authorities.

Beckley Police Detective Sgts. Dean Bailey and Gant Montgomery said the car had been speeding and was "all over the road."

The car ran with falling debris and its front fender off. Officers say the Oldsmobile swerved sideways when they caught up and stopped behind an auto parts store.

Police nabbed Woods for driving under the influence after he flunked field sobriety tests.

Woods told police that he was on his way to Auto Zone and thought he could make it.
