After having driven over a million miles on his Saab car and donating it to a museum in Wisconsin, the Swedish car maker decided to give him a replacement car for his next million. Salesman Peter Gilbert got more than what he wished for when he received a brand new Saab 9-5 Aero after having owned a Saab 900 for over 17 years.

"I am on cloud nine right now. This is exactly the car I wanted," Gilbert said.

Although, Gilbert didn't get his much deserved brand new car right away. He first had Saab verify the high mileage on his car over the summer but didn't get more than a call of congratulations. It took a change of heart by the car maker to hand Gilbert a brand new set of keys after his story was carried by newspapers and other media around the world.

Saab has even gone as far as to offer a brand new car for anyone else who can verify the million mileage mark on their Saab vehicles as well.

"We have no idea, frankly, how many cars that will be. At this point, we only know of Peter's car," said Saab spokesman Jan-Willem Vester.

According to Ananova, Saab will take his old car out of the museum for a showing at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

"We thought it would be great to have the car there with a big sign on the windshield that says a million miles," Vester said.
